kingdom of Morocco or Maghreb a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber and, cultural influences.
Morocco called in Arabic by Maghreb because this side of Africa where “the sunset“, and after that morocco has become an empire and ruled North Africa from the 10th to 14thcentruries and published Maghreb’s name in the region, so that North Africa is now called Maghreb as a proportion of the Moroccan empire.
The word “Morocco” comes from the Berber Ameṛṛuk (ⴰⵎⵕⵕⵓⴽ), Diminutive of Amurakuch (Marrakech), which was the former capital Almoravid and Almohad of Morocco.
Amurakuch comes from “Amur n Wakouch” (ⴰⵎⵓⵔ ⵏ ⵡⴰⴽⵓⵛ), which means “land of God”.
